JUST SHOW UP!
Just Show Up!
We all have those lazy days, when we're not motivated or we feel overwhelmed with responsibilities. The shocker is, we can't always rely on motivation to get things done, if not we wouldn't do anything at all. So, what then? JUST SHOW UP. Yes, even on those tough days. It's what I'm doing right now as I write this post. Some call it CONSISTENCY.
I realised that if I'm ever going to do anything and succeed at it, I'm going to have to SHOW UP at it every single day. Whether I feel like it or not.
You're a student, you've got to study and you don't feel motivated to? Just show up for at least 30 minutes daily, in 10 days you'd have studied for 300 minutes/5 hours.
Apply this rule to anything you need to get done, learning a new skill, building a side-hustle, taking on a new habit or routine? Just show up.
One fun thing about showing up consistently is that, you're training your mind in the process. So, there would rarely be a day where you "don't feel like it" anymore, cos it now becomes like a habit, a routine, you don't even consider it as "work" anymore.
Decide today to build that consistency muscle, show up for something, every single day. It won't be easy at first, but trust me, it will get better as you go. Keep showing up and watch your dreams transform into reality.
